Protoform is the synthetic protein of which Indogene skin is composed. It also serves numerous other purposes, particularly to Omecs, the Indogenes creators.
Purpose & Usage[]
The Omec created Indogenes to serve both as slaves and as an alternate food source after they lost the War of Six. Because Indogene skin is composed of Protoform and Protoform has numerous beneficial applications to Omec physiology, Omec will maim and injure Indogenes to obtain it.
Doc Yewll claims that Omecs see Indogenes as "a great big tub of spackle" because their skin can be used to heal Omec wounds. This can be seen when T'evgin demands that Mayor Amanda Rosewater allow him to take a piece of Yewll's skin to heal his daughter's gunshot wound.
