Trion Worlds (previously Trion World Networks) is an award-winning American video game developer and publisher, which focuses primarily on MMOs, particularly of the MMORPG and MMORTS genres. The company was created in 2006 by Van Caneghem who left his previous company NCSoft and created the Trion Worlds Network. In the same year the company was founded they began the creation of the game RIFT. They have also created End of Nations and are currently developing the Defiance video game in collaboration with the Syfy channel who are creating a Defiance TV show that will parallel the video game.
