Vo-tech is slang for “Votan technology” – advanced machinery that is centuries beyond anything humanity’s ever produced. Of course, most Vo-tech is powered by exotic energy sources that aren’t very easy to come by. This disparity has led to a tenuous relationship between North America’s two burgeoning governments. The Earth Republic trades their raw resources for the Votanis Collective’s advanced weapons. Some people worry that this is an indication that both sides are stockpiling arms in preparation for another war, though the E-Rep and VC both claim they’re simply maintaining good relations. [1]
